At Biscuit Factory Animal Rescue, we are wholeheartedly committed to the well-being of every pet that comes into our care. We believe every animal deserves the best chance at a healthy and happy life, which is why we do not permit euthanasia for healthy or treatable animals.
Our policy on euthanasia is clear and compassionate:
We will only authorize euthanasia if:
- A licensed veterinarian or trained medical staff, under the guidance of a veterinarian, determines that the prognosis is poor or grave, and there is no possibility of recovering an acceptable quality of life.
- It would be inhumane or unsafe to allow the pet to continue suffering, and immediate euthanasia by trained persons is the only way to prevent further pain or distress.
We take every decision surrounding a pet’s health and well-being very seriously, and our veterinary team is always involved in the process to ensure the most compassionate and responsible choices are made.
